In this workshop, you will explore how to use line breaks, shapes, and the white space to invent and reinvent the meaning of your poems.
You will look at how breaking lines, experimenting with rhythm, and playing with the page's white space can amplify your poems and challenge your expectations.
You will look at the works of E. E. Cummings, Fiona Benson, Mary Ellen Solt, Sarah Howe, and more. Through close readings, inspiring exercises, and group discussion, you will craft new and innovative poems you can be proud of.
