Poetry of Illness, Ageing, and Healing
Join us for a generative poetry masterclass exploring the themes of illness, ageing, and recovery. This workshop offers a practical space to reflect on the complexity of illness and healing, and reclaim your creative voice.
We will look into poems by Stanley Kunitz, Paisley Rekdal, Ellen Bass, Caroline Smith, and more, and explore how we can use clarity of language and idea to write powerful poems and give a voice to our lived experiences.
About the facilitator:
Romalyn Ante FRSL is a Filipino-British poet, essayist, and editor. She was born and bred in Lipa, Philippines. In 2005, her mother – a nurse in the NHS – brought her and the whole family to the UK.
