About the event
What stories live just beneath the surface of your thoughts?
What images, memories, or truths begin to emerge when language lets go of logic?
In this generative workshop, we’ll explore the poetic possibilities of the subconscious—the liminal space where silence, memory, intuition, and dreams converge.
Using surrealist techniques, associative writing, and poetry that resists traditional narrative, we’ll practice tuning into the inner voice that lives beneath conscious thought.
We’ll read and discuss poets like Frank O’Hara, Alejandra Pizarnik, Lucille Clifton, Ada Limón, and others who write from the dreamlike, intuitive, and deeply personal. Together, we’ll create poems that surface when we turn inward.
No prior experience necessary.
