The Library of Ice: poems for climate and change
In this generative workshop, you will take a journey through climate change poems, and write your own poems of survival and transformation.
Come and visit the library of ice, and explore what you can say about our warming world. You will read poems from Nature Matters: Vital Poems from the Global Majority and a Poetry Society project that involved a visit to a glacier. What can plants, animals and landscapes tell you about the future you want? How do you locate human voices and human presences amid these global issues?
Yvonne Reddick is a poet, nonfiction writer, scholar and environmental film producer. Her books include Burning Season (Bloodaxe, 2023), winner of the Laurel Prize for Best First UK Collection of Ecopoetry and shortlisted for the ASLE and Saltire poetry awards.
